Naan Khatai Recipe

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup Chohans Castor Sugar
  • 1 cup Chohans Ghee
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons Chohans Semolina (sooji)
  • ¼ teaspoon Chohans Cardamom Powder (elaichi)
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons Chohans Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chohan's almonds (for decoration)

Instructions:

  1. Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, beat together the Chohans Castor Sugar and Chohans Ghee until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Add the Wet Ingredients: Beat in the egg, Chohans Semolina, and Chohans Cardamom Powder until well combined.
  3. Combine the Dry Ingredients: Add the cake flour, Chohans Baking Powder, bicarbonate of soda, and salt to the wet ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Shape the Cookies: Roll the dough into small balls and place them evenly spaced on a baking tray. Gently press down on each ball and decorate with Chohan's almonds.
  5. Bake the Naan Khatai: Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 160°C for 18-20 minutes, or until they are slightly browned on the edges.
  6. Enjoy: Let the Naan Khatai cool slightly before serving and enjoying.
