Butter Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer

Ingredients

For the Wings:
  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp oil
For the Butter Chicken Sauce:
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh coriander (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

Preparing the Wings:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with all the spices, lemon juice, and oil. Mix well to ensure the wings are evenly coated.
  2. Let the wings marinate for at least 1 hour for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25 minutes.
  5. Flip the wings and continue cooking for an additional 6-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

Making the Butter Chicken Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the crushed garlic, tomato paste, and paprika. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the fresh cream and let it simmer gently, stirring occasionally.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Finish by adding freshly chopped coriander.

Assembling the Dish:

  1. Place the cooked wings in a serving bowl.
  2. Pour the warm butter chicken sauce over the wings, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Garnish with additional coriander if desired.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
