Braai Fish

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole deboned fish (with slits)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fish spice
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun spice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 lemon slices
  • Fresh dill

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 125 grams butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • Cajun spice and chili powder, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Chohans Peri-Peri paste
  • 2-3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Instructions:

  1. Season the Fish:

    • Generously rub the inside and outside of the fish with the spice mixture.
    • Stuff the fish cavity with lemon slices and fresh dill.
  2. Cook the Fish:

    • Wrap the seasoned fish tightly in foil.
    • Grill or braai the fish until cooked through.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a saucepan, combine the sauce ingredients.
    • Whisk the mixture over low heat until it thickens.
  4. Serve:

    • Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked fish and serve immediately.
